Mango Iced Tea

To celebrate the arrival of summer, I’m presenting to you this light, a refreshing and chilled recipe of Mango Iced Tea. Nothing tastes sweeter on a hot summer day than a glass of Mango Iced Tea.  This recipe for mango iced tea is light and that only takes 5 minutes to make. Perfect sweet way to use fresh mangoes this mango season.


Serves 4  

INGREDIENTS

4 cups of water

4 black tea bags (English breakfast tea)

1.5 cups of mango juice

sugar or honey to taste (optional)

1 cups of fresh mango slices (optional)

mint sprigs for garnish

METHOD: 

  1. Bring the water to a boil; add the tea bags and steep for 3-5 minutes or until the desired level of strength.
  2. Stir in the mango juice. Add sugar or honey to taste if needed
  3. Pour the tea into a pitcher. Add the mango slices, reserving a few for garnish
  4. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  5. Stir in the mint right before serving.
  6. Pour into glasses with ice and garnish with reserved mango slices and mint sprigs if desired.
